Bologna has a world record right downtown: The Torre degli Asinelli (Asinelli Tower) —at 97.2 metres high—is the tallest leaning medieval building in the world. It was built from the year 1109 to 1119. It is one of the twenty towers that still stand above the city that was once called “Turrita Bologna” (or the turreted one for the many towers it had). You can climb the tower and wonder at the unforgettable view that spreads before you. The Torre degli Asinelli has a little sister – the Garisenda Tower, and the two of them together are one of the famous the symbols of Bologna.   WHEN: Every day   TIMES: From 1 March to 5 November 09:30am – 7:30pm   From 6 November to 28 February 09:30am – 5:45pm   LENGTH: 45 minutes   MEETING POINT: Piazza di Porta Ravegnana – Tower entrance   YOUR TICKET INCLUDES: Introductory pamphlet about the Tower visit Entrance fee
