Enjoy a unique experience discovering the Palazzo d'Accursio, one of the most iconic landmarks of Bologna's power. Get to know every corner of the imposing Clock Tower, the gateway to the city's changing rhythms, and the Municipal Art Collections, a unique place where the history of Bologna is treasured. Enter through the courtyard and up the elegant "horse staircase" to the second floor, where you will first access the Accursio Tower, better known as the Clock Tower. Here, a licensed tour guide will take you through the halls of the building to the beating heart of the tower: the mechanism running the clock. You will hear fascinating anecdotes about the building and the tower through the ages and get an unparalleled view of Piazza Maggiore. You will also have access to the Municipal Art Collections, displayed in the rooms that were once used as the residence of the Cardinal Legates. You will wander among paintings, art objects, furniture, porcelain and textiles ranging from the Middle Ages to the present day, eventually reaching the Sala Urbana, a masterpiece of Bolognese Baroque with its heraldic decoration.
