The Porticoes, Theatres and their History: evocative itineraries in the heart of Bologna to discover the places and people who, over the centuries, have made the City of Arts and Music world-famous.

Itinerary 1 - Walk along the Porticoes of Piazza Maggiore and Piazza San Domenico + concert Myslivecek, il divino boemo
In the mid-16th century, the Palazzo del Podestà housed the first large theatre built entirely of wood: the Teatro della Sala. The Basilica of San Petronio houses the city's oldest musical institution of European importance. Palazzo dell'Archiginnasio, the ancient seat of the university, hosts one of the most significant spaces in the city's musical history: the Sala dello Stabat Mater. Crossing Piazza Galvani, we enter the ancient Corte Galluzzi, where a famous opera singer was born, while continuing along Via Farini towards Piazza Minghetti, we find the 17th-century Formagliari Theatre, one of the earliest examples of Italian-style theatre.

The itinerary will end at the Teatro del Baraccano to attend the concert Myslivecek, il divino boemo, with the Baraccano Orchestra conducted by Giambattista Giocoli.
The concert will be preceded by an aperitif in the courtyard of the Teatro del Baraccano.
